Why do I need air- conditioned- storage?
In humid climates items such as mattresses, upholstered furniture, clothing, antiques and art work are vulnerable to humidity. Our air
conditioned units are designed with cyclone fencing which allows the air to circulate, thus creating and atmosphere within the unit that
is comparable to a centrally air conditioned home.
Are my items insured?
The Extra Closet Self Storage does not provide insurance for its customers; however, your home owner's policy may include an "off-Premises" clause. It is recommended that you check with your insurance company.
What happens if I don’t have a home owner’s policy?
Customers may purchase a tenet insurance policy. A brochure concerning tenant insurance can be picked-up at our office or you can visit their website at www.tenateone.com.
How do I determine what size unit I need?
Our pricing page
indicates estimates of self storage space for storage units. In addition, our
qualified staff is very good at assisting customers with selecting
proper sizes. Give us a list of items needing to be stored and we
will provide you with a few sizes that should meet your needs.
Who provides the padlock?
Each tenant provides is own padlock and
keeps the key. We will keep duplicate keys it the tenant requests
it. As a convenience, The Extra Closet Self Storage keeps padlocks in inventory
for customers to purchase. The Extra Closet Self Storage recommends that Tenants
use Disc locks for U-pack "Portable Storage units" and Garage Storage units. Their
shape makes it near impossible to cut with a bolt cutter and they
are designed for tough situations.
Can I keep a U-Pack "Portable Storage Unit" at my house?
Yes, as long at there are no city ordinance or Home Owners rules stating otherwise. It is your decision to keep the U-pack on your site or store it at The Extra Closet Self Storage facility.
Are there additional charges to keep the U-Pack "Portable Storage Unit" at The Extra
Closet Self-Storage Facility?
Rental rates remain the same no matter where you
store your U-Pack unit. Additional charges apply only to delivery charges.
